The Fuzzy Pajamas was founded by Julia, Veronica, and myself primarily as a songwriting experiment at our friend Josh’s house in the suburbs of Kansas City, MO. We won a songwriting competition which awarded us access to a recording studio and we eventually released an EP with 5 original songs and a hidden track comedic skit. The Fuzzy Pajamas was my first truly collaborative creative project of original material and it was a beautiful and affirming experience to have your creative ideas get taken up by others to build upon and create something that no one individual would have made if left to their own devices. Of our dozen songs most were written collaboratively with a few written solely by Julia, and two solely by myself.
