The Way We Sleep
This is the old bed that my girlfriend Amanda and I inherited from our friend Derek in St. Louis when she was in college. We had inherited a new bed from our then roommate at the time, Greg, and I wanted to commemorate our former crappy bed by setting it on fire. Instead of a large bonfire performance, I opted instead to mask out the areas that Amanda I would sleep on our bed, her on her side and me laying flat on my back, and then selectively burned and darkened the bed with charcoal and graphite.
