This pop-up exhibition that we did at the Secor Building was in a very rough space and had barely functional bathrooms at the time. The toilets would flush, but the water that came out of the faucet was rusty brown. During the few days of installation we brought in our own cases of water to drink, and had a pizza party. I asked people to fill their water bottles with the rusty building water and add them to my piece. Additionally, Nate Masternak, one of the Secor Building artists, had a can of white paint that was dripping that we set on one of the greasy pizza box inserts and it left a lovely white ring of paint. So we then started stamping the greasy cardboard and made our own little Spiral Jetty out of them and then created a polka dot pattern on the plastic drop cloth someone had laid out. I then included those items as a collaboration with Nate, the building, the other artists and audience members adjacent to the large funnel cloud shape I had made with all of the used white grocery bags suspended in the space.

The later pieces Precipitation and Untitled (Anton Art Center) had their origins in the experiments with this piece.
