This is a monoprint created by dipping a used tire into used motor oil from my car and then pressing the sidewall against a found cardboard box.

I revisited this gestural print a year later by making the more dimensional piece Ameri-G4s by casting concrete around the tire. Moldmaking and casting is essentially a 3D version of printmaking.
